Every year, NordBau attracts approximately 77,000 fair visitors to the north of Germany due to its unique mix of offers, the accompanying specialised meetings and special shows with various themes. Round about 56% of all visitors attend the fair because of professional reasons, 44% of visitors because of private reasons.
In 2008, approximately half of all trade visitors came from the region of Schleswig-Holstein, around 23% from the Hamburg area and over 30% from Lower Saxony, Bremen, the north of North Rhein Westphalia and the Mecklenburg-Vorpommeranian, Berlin/Brandenburg area. The remaining trade visitors came from other German states or from abroad.
